Walt Disney Pinocchio Tinplate Clockwork Model by Marx 1939

model
of the Walt Disney creation, Pinocchio, by Marx which was used to help promote the
second Walt Disney feature length film in 1939.
This tinplate Pinocchio model stands 9.00 inches high and has brightly lithographed detail to his head and body. When wound up using the fixed key to the back his feet move and his eyes move up and down
There is rubbing and marks, and one very small screw to the front missing (easily replaced if desired – but does not affect the working operation of the model) but the mechanism works fine and this represents a wonderful and rare wartime tinplate Disneyana toy from 1939, and a great piece of movie memorabilia.
